Tire safety overview

Tire Safety and Information:
Tire Pressure: To ensure the life and Integrity of our tires, proper inflation is a must. Both under inflation and over inflation puts stress on your tires because it takes more force to push it down the road, so it generates more heat.  Over time this heat puts added stress on the tires. The goal is for the tire to maintain its original shape after rolling down the road. Proper inflation saves the life of the tire.
Rotation: The best way to save the life of your tire is first to make sure it is inflated properly, then rotate according to your ownerʼs manual . We recommend every other oil change. This is an economical way to increase your tires longevity.
Balance: A balance is required if there is any vibration in the tires. Roughly every 2nd tire rotation, add a balance. This will help minimize uneven wear in your tires.
Replacement: When replacing tires the size of the tires is important to know. The size is located on the outer wall of the tire. This number can look like this: 215/65R15 You can also reference your owners manual. At Custom we want to know what type of driving you normally do, what expectations you have for your tires, do you pull anything in the summer, what is your budget, etc.  After we have collected the data, we find a tire that matches your vehicle and driving style.
